Student stands up to lazy teacher @ Duncanville, TX High School
Let's think about this. How many students or children do we know that would actually confront a teacher like that? Just in general, how many students or children do we know that would actually confront a teacher or a parent when these group of children or students know that the teacher or parent is doing some things wrong? It's really crazy that there so many "grown-ups" that tell us what to do when we don't gain any knowledge skill from it. These "grown-ups" are just basically using us for their own benefits. They don't care about us. This kid knows this. The teacher he confronted don't care about the students or the education; I don't think the teacher even how much really education is important, meaning the teacher don't realize the value of education. This student knows how much really important education is; he knows the value of education. This student is being the teacher and teaching to the so called "teacher" this value. Even though he only got the chance to teach the teacher in a very short time, he got his message across to the teacher and all the students that was present. The teacher is just too stupid and too selfish to realize her mistakes to herself and to her students.
I adore this student. I want to meet him. I want to learn from him. For sure, it took a lot of guts to pull off something like this. I've always been taught that education is important and that's the reason why we go to school each and every day. What I've learned recently during my senior year in my high school career, education is all around us. We don't need a classroom or a whiteboard to teach and share knowledge. We don't need papers and pencils to get educated. All we need is our voices. Education comes from our will to learn. Education comes from our passion to teach. Education can be taught and shared through our voices. I believe this is the best way of learning. If we actually take the time to talk to one another, we will actually become more educated. I'll for sure take that note since I want to go to teaching before going to law. This kid inspire to become something different from all the teachers around the world. This kid wants me to become a teacher that inspire change, a good impactful change. This kid wants me to become the start of the change. If I want this world to be a better place, I need to take the first step. I will not fear get the best of me. I will become the change!!!

Into the Passion?
I find it really interesting how a book or any kind of writing can inspire so many things. In this case, I read a book called Into the Wild by Jon Kraukauer. I didn't read this book just once; I read this book many times already. During my senior year in my high school until now, I continue to read this work for different purposes. I read this book for the purpose of happiness, struggles, standards of society, and many more. This time, I read this book for the sole purpose of finding the answers about the direction of passion. The book, Into the Wild, is about a young man named Chris McCandless who traveled to Alaska for his own personal reasons. Nobody really knows his reasons are for going to Alaska. Throughout the book, we learned about Chris' family, childhood, and social status in society. The boy is rich, but his family is messed up especially his dad. Despite his upbringings, Chris chose to live his own life. He doesn't want the money he has. He's a college graduate, but he didn't go looking for work. Instead all his privileges, he chooses to have his own life with nature. Chris wanted to pursue what he was passionate about and that's living a life without expectations. So, we went off to an adventure of his lifetime!!! There's always something or someone that affect our lives; sometimes, it causes us to change our own direction. For Chris, his father did something that greatly affected Chris and his life.

The Will of Passion
Many people want to get a college education; however, it is very difficult to get one because there are so many deal breakers and setbacks that stop any one of us from achieving a college education. One of these deal breakers is our support system. Many of us have family or friends that tell us it's better for us to immediately start working instead to waste our time studying in school. Sometimes, these people tell us what to do with our lives without considering what we want. In "The Passion Project", several students from Chabot College speak with this experience. One of Chabot students named Karina tells us that "[her parents] rather me be a nurse because they get money or they're in high demand or something and I don't wanna do that" (Passion Project). It is really sad that we don't get the support we need to push on and capture our dreams. Instead, the exact opposite happens. Our family and friends are the ones causing our downfalls in life because they don't agree on what we want or who we are. Other times, the things we want are constantly being put down by the people we love; instead, they push the things we don't want. Another student from Chabot, Romeo, claims that "it's hard for me sometimes because there's something where they expect me to become what they want to become. No one should tell me what to do but um my mom and my dad is trying to do my business in the future and then force me to take it" (Passion Project). Within our own family and community, we are constantly taught that we should think about our future, not what we want or what we are passionate about. If we continue to disregard our passion which makes us who we are as a person, we are going to be robots; we're going to be program to only think and do work for the rest of our lives. I don't want that for all of us. I want all of us to get what we want; I want all of us to pursue what we are passionate about. So, let's do it! Together, we can achieve it!
Passion in Action: THE KATIPUNEROS TO PHILIPPINE ARMY
This video tells us a brief history of the Philippines. It tells us about a group of people that voiced their passion. The "Katipuneros" or "Kataas-taasan at Kagalang-galang anak ng Katipunan(KKK)" is a group of brave pilipinos who fought for the independence of the Philippines during 1896-1898 against Spain. Then, these men and womyn fought against the US army during the early 1900s to continue the struggle for the Philippine Independence. These people are passionate in achieving the liberties and freedoms of the Philippines. Despite being outnumbered and unequipped, they fought back with strong will and faith for their cause. The Katipuneros show their love and passion about the Philippine by giving their own lives for their beloved land. The next generation of Katipuneros continues to show the love and passion their ancestors display each and every day when they were alive. I am part of the new generation of Katipuneros. I love the Philippines. I love my homeland. I want everyone to know that. I know the Philippines are struggling and it need me and my peers who fight and continue to fight for the well-being of the Philippines and its people. I will forever be passionate about the Philippines. I will forever show my passion for the Philippines because I love the Philippines!!! MAKIBAKA!!! HUWAG MATAKO!!!
This video relates to our topic of passion because this video features a group of people showing their passion about their homeland. It is important for all of us to show and express what we are passionate about. We should not be shy about it. These group of people display their love and passion with no hesitation. Like them, I want to have the courage to show my love and passion for the Philippines.
Educations equals future?
I've always believed that education is the key for a better world. I want every man, woman, child, homosexual, gay, lesbian, and many more to get a great quality education. However, education is being used as a tool to control people when it supposed to be the opposite. Today, in schools, we are taught that we should care more about grades and attendances because it's what going to bring us to a brighter future. They are wrong. It's not about grades or attendances. It's about you and realizing the idea that we need you to survive. Even though many of us don't realize it, we all depend on each other to survive. Everyone is important. That's only thing we should tell people. That should be our motivation, not higher grades or perfect attendances. The world is too messed-up to fix itself. We become divided longer than any one of us will ever know. We need to relax and actually wake up to go to the truth. We need to clean and open our eyes clearly because the solutions to all our global problems has been right in front of us; we're just too lazy and too selfish for us to actually admit it.
1. What else do I need to know in order for me to help my community?
2. Who created the division among the people or this hiearchy?
3. If education is the key for a better world, why is it not being used properly?

Privilege vs. Passion
One of the relationships of Passion and Privilege is availability of opportunities. Many of us dream of doing something that will change the world which require hard work, determination, and a little bit of luck. In this world, privilege has a say who and what will make the world be. This setback is constantly around to all of us which limit the opportunities we have to pursue our passion. During our childhood, we are encouraged to do whatever we want; it's possible for us to become anything we want to be. However, good things must always come to end. When we reach adulthood, we hear "silly child, dreams are not realistic and no love is not practical; you must work to make money to buy the luxuries that you must have; work even more just to pay to get to work where you could work just to get paid just so you could pay for the things to work. And don't forget ya gotta hurry" (Passion Project). This is a very sad truth. We are constantly by people or things that minimize all the possibilities we can achieve. With privilege, we are told every single day that money or work comes first before anything else. This idea is being drilled into our minds and hearts so we begin to care only for the benefit of a few. This few are the people in power that uses us for their selfish reasons. If we follow the idea of privilege, we begin to lose ourselves; we begin to lose our passion. Privilege is not going to give us opportunities to chase what we want. We need to break away from privilege and make our own chances if we are really serious in following our passion.

My unwritten passion
All of us have a passion; however, do we really know what passion is? For me, passion is a form of self-representation. It is one of a kind way to represent or show your true self. In other words, it is you speaking in your own voice, stating your own opinions or views. It could be about anything. You can say "what I really think about school, work, my whole community or the whole world in general. There are many walls and blockage that prevent us from telling what we really think and feel about a certain issue. For example, I always been told that I am worthless; I only bring evilness in this world. I'm a failure. This is some of the walls that I have to break through in order for me to become who I truly am and to show what I''m all about or passionate about. A word of advice: it is very good to fail. Experiencing failure or failing in general help us realize and learn more about ourselves and what we are passionate about. Failures are created to be our teachers; it is there to teach us a lesson about ourselves, to show us who we are deep inside. Who you are is something only you know and nobody else. Passion is something you yourself can only discover. You can't know what it is until you actually try and find out what it is. Passion is basically like our DNA or our genes; it's what make us unique or what I like to say or use... special. Everyone is special. Some of us might learn about our specialty faster than others but we are all special because every one of us has a passion. What am I passionate about? I'm passionate about making good and big impacts in the whole world. Someday, I will make the greatest impact the world has ever seen. It's going to be bigger and better than the atomic bombs. All I'm trying to say is that if a person has a passion, she or he is a real person because real people have passion. Passion creates real people which mean people learn who they really are deep inside. A person can be passionate about anything and more than one thing. All anyone of us has to do is to make the choice of pursuing what we are passionate about. It can be scary and exciting. It's okay. We just need to be in-love ourselves and our passion. Our passion will be our manual or guidance that we will use to achieve everything we want. The first step is to make that choice. Let's listen to our hearts and JUST DO IT!!!!
